Cold and Nasty

That does *not* describe the current situation here. I mean: it *is* cold, but certainly not nasty. It rained for the past three days which is why the wine-harvest festivities set for this afternoon on Zeilitzheim's marketplace were cancelled on Friday. Too bad because the sun is now shining on this fall Sunday morning.

Lesson learned: sometimes you just have to stick with a plan, believe in it. If you don't believe in something you plan on doing you might as well not even start.

I had a feeling from the start that the "Weinlesefest" was not entirely wanted by the varying parties who have a stake in it. My part this year was very small: I designed the flyer and had it printed. Those are now flying off into the sunny Franconian fall.

It certainly is a wonderful time of year in northern Bavaria, Weinlesefest or not.

I am beginning to believe...

... that Germans still have a *lot* to learn.
