We've been going on long walks around the village. What is there to say? For one:
Fall is definitely upon us here in southern Germany. The wine harvest is underway and the sugar beets are also being yanked out of the ground, dumped in big piles along the roads and carted off in big green trucks around the clock.
It's getting wet and chilly here; actually my favorite time of year. No New England Fall, but still nice with its colors and moods. The kids are enjoying the fruit and nuts we find along the paths around the village. Some of the hazelnuts are good to eat but the walnuts still need a few weeks.
The kids are both in Kindergarten now, which gives Kati some time to herself in the mornings. I have been doing a lot of office work and am looking forward to the winter for tinkering around with databases and other techy projects.
