Sugar Beets - Zeilitzheim's Gold

Zeilitzheim's main product, it seems, is the sugar beet. These days you see tons of them in huge piles along the roads, all harvested and awaiting their turn for transportation to the sugar factory. They call it the "sugar beet campaign" as if it were some sort of huge military operation. Well, in a way: it is.

Laptop, Book and Backpack

I was able to get some reading done on the train to Fulda: Getting Things Done by David Allen. It helps to be ina (closed) google study group because it structures the reading into manageable chunks that can then be discussed before moving on to the next chapters.

I use Cultured Code's Program Things on the Mac and iPod Touch.

And I'm still maintaining Inbox Zero.

Back from Fulda

I spent the past three days in Fulda, a city with many well-preserved baroque buildings and an active and thriving old town. I met my fellow restaurant owners from our regional group "Die LandWirt'n" for our annual meeting there.

It is good to get out every once in while, if only to underscore how nice it is to back home, too!
